*** Endless Beach Babes Readme! ***
*** System Requirements: ***
1. Windows 3.1
2. CD-ROM Reader (double speed preferred)
3. 4MB RAM (8MB RAM preferred)
4. 486SX or above (may run on 386 but slooooow)
5. Minimum 256 colors, (Hi-color or true-color preferred)
*** Installation: ***
1. Select File from the program manager
2. Select Run
3. Type in "drive:setup" and press enter, where the "drive" is your
CD-ROM drive name (D, E, or F, etc.).
4. It takes less than 2 minutes to install
5. Click on the EBB icon to run the program
6. To start the screen saver, simply click on the "slide" icon, 3rd
icon from the top right hand corner. Then select either (1) random,
(2) sequence, or (3) one of the 6 available groups. The program will
run continuously until you press any key or click your mouse.
7. This program also installs the screen saver to your Windows Desktop
environment. Therefore, the screen saver will automatically begin
2 minutes after your last operation. You can change the default
settings such as the delay, sound on/off, or group, etc. using the
Windows Desktop program in your control panel. Please see your
Windows Reference Manual for more information.
8. Once you are in the program, everything is menu driven by simply
clicking on the available buttons. You can click on the HELP button
for more information. The Index Button is a quick way to find any
screen and sometimes offers additional undocumented secrets.
9. If you still have any questions, ask your retailer or any friends who
are familiar with Windows 3.1.
**** Trouble Shooting ****
1. Not hearing any sound: make sure that you have a Windows compatible
sound card installed. Then see if your speakers are connected to
the "Speaker" port of your sound card. Also check the volume control.
2. Program is very slow: possible reasons are (1) your CPU is 486SX or
slower, (2) your RAM memory is 4MB or less, (3) your CD-ROM reader
is single speed (150KB per second), (4) your hard disk is defragmented,
(5) you didn't not fine tune your Windows programs. Basically, if you
have a 486SX or above with 8MB of memory and a double speed CD-ROM
reader, you should be able to run the program very smoothly.
3. Not able to run the true color mode: you must have a VGA card that
supports 32K, 64K or 16.6 million colors. Normally it is the kind
of VGA card that has 1MB of RAM installed. The Hi-color or true-
color driver should come with your graphic card. You can check
your graphic mode by running the "setup" program from DOS within
the Windows directory or by running inside Windows. Select "Display"
and choose the appropriate mode.
4. Not able to run 256 colors: almost all VGA card can support 256 colors,
unless you have one of the old, old, old cards. However, it doesn't
mean that your display setting is right. Run the "setup" program from
DOS within Windows directory or run inside Windows. Select "Display"
and choose appropriate mode.
5. My system hangs: your system shouldn't hang under normal circumstance.
It may be just because it is slow. When you see the cursor turns into
an hour glass, it means that it is processing. Unless it is doing it
for a long time (say, 2 or 3 minutes), do not reboot it.
6. I can't get out of the program: simple, go to main menu first by
clicking on the big "M" button. Once you are in the main menu, click
on the "Exit" icon to exit program. You can also click on"Back" icon
(the icon with an arrow pointing to the northwest), this should return
you to the title page. Then click on the "Exit" botton.
7. I can't run "MMS" program after the installation: due to the fact that
"EBB" offers some new features, you need to install these new features
to make "MMS" program compatible. Following is the new setup procedure:
- Place "EBB" CD-ROM in your CD-ROM drive
- Select File from program manager
- Select Run
- type in "drive:\mms\setup" and press enter, where drive is your
CD-ROM drive name (D, E, or F, etc.)
Now you can run both "MMS" and "EBB" programs and enjoy new features!
****** Change CD-ROM drive ******
Once you have installed the EBB program, it remembers the CD-ROM drive.
If you want to change the CD-ROM drive, simply re-install the program
again. You can delete the previous program icons by simply pressing
the delete key. (Expert users: you can edit the EBB.ini file in your
Windows directory and change the path)
